Losing the “Baby Fat”

Baby has been here for some months now and is cute as a button, but you still have a little extra around your midsection, or a little something around the hips. Isn’t all the extra fat supposed to just melt away after the baby is born? All the books tell you that nursing will help you regain your figure, and once you’re running around after your active little one, you will shed those last few pounds. How can you regain your pre-pregnancy body once and for all?

Exercise and Proper Nutrition
These are key components in achieving your goal body. Dieting is a no win solution, lifestyle changes are. Take a look at your typical day. During baby’s naptime, you probably feel like you need to clean up. This is valid, but this could also be your chance to burn some fat!! With one hour of nap time (ideally), you could do an exercise video, go for a jog, or if you have home equipment you could use that. The American Council of Sports Medicine (ACSM) advises a minimum 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise five days per week to obtain weight loss. During this time, you want to make sure your exercise intensity will be most advantageous for you. To find your target heart rate the ACSM advises you to take 220 - your age; multiply that number by.6 (lower range) and .9 (higher range). The beginner should stay near the bottom range while the more advanced exerciser should be closer to the middle. Take your heart rate while you’re exercising to find out if you’re working hard enough.

You should also add some strength training. A well toned body will tend to burn more calories at rest and thus become a more efficient fuel burner for you. Lifting light weights will not make you bulk up or look masculine, but instead will increase your muscle tone and your metabolism. Start with low weights and high repetitions. 1-3 sets of 12 -15 repetitions is a good start for building muscular endurance. A variety of exercises for upper and lower body, beginning with larger muscle groups and working your way down to smaller muscles is the way to go. You can do this regimen 2-3 times per week and get results.

If you don’t have time for both cardio and strength training, try doing just one or the other and alternate days. You can also exercise while your baby is awake, making him a part of your routine. Babies love music and movement, and they will enjoy having you lift them into the air from the floor (chest press), or hold them while doing squats, or whatever creative maneuver you can come up with. Try to do abs at the end of your routine every second day. There are many abdominal exercises that you can do with your baby, such as: abdominal crunches holding baby up on top of your knees; plank, having baby lie on the floor directly in front or beside you as you hold your body weight up on bent elbows and toes, keeping your body long and straight like a board; standing twists holding baby are great for working the waist. Use your imagination and enjoy this workout time with your baby if that’s what it takes to fit it in.

Try getting outside with other mothers for walks. You can discuss your babies while you’re burning calories. The longer the walk, the better!

What are you eating these days? I know, things happen on the fly and it’s hard to make healthy, balanced meals every day. Try to be more conscious about what you’re eating, and also when you’re consuming food. Avoid eating right before bed, as your body has no means of burning those calories. During the day, strive to eat 5-6 smaller meals to make your body metabolically more efficient.

Try putting up a sample menu of easy to prepare, healthy meals to inspire you throughout the day. Remember that the more brightly colored the fruit or vegetable, the more nutritious it is. Red, orange, and yellow are colors worth eating.

Moderation is a good theme to implement when it comes to eating for weight loss; allow yourself a treat now and then but don’t go overboard.

Goals
Having a game plan is important. Sit down and think about what you really want, and write it down. What do you need to do to fit into those jeans again? Do you need to lose 1 or 2 inches around your waist? Maybe an inch around your hips? Set and try to reach definite, specific goals. Short term goals should be attainable within a few months while long term goals should be reached in about a year. Put your goals in a visible place so that you see them daily and are reminded of what you’re working for. Maybe keep the jeans out so you see them more often and want to wear them even more. Telling others about the goals you’ve set will make them more concrete and make it harder for you to forget about them.

Hiring a personal trainer is always an option for some people, whether you want to spend the money for that service is up to you. If you feel that you’ve tried everything and are getting nowhere on your own, maybe it’s worth a try.

Whatever you decide to do, make it your own personal mission, and don’t worry about what other people are doing. Every body is different and will lose inches and pounds on its own schedule. With regular cardiovascular exercise, light weight training and good eating habits, you’re sure to say goodbye to your baby fat in no time! Good luck and have fun!

Glyconutrients, the Next Generation of Supplementation!

If you or somebody you care about is struggling with fatigue, autoimmune disorders, or a life threatening illness, glyconutrients can help. These all natural plant based ‘raw materials’ help support your body’s ability to produce special structures called glycoproteins. Glycoproteins directly affect the ability of your cells to communicate with each other so they are functioning correctly. Everybody responds and fights disease the best when your cells are communicating effectively.

Most bodies’ do not metabolize food and nutrients correctly b/c their body is “out of balance”. The glyco proteins in Glyconutrients, provide your body the raw materials it needs to encourage your body to ’self-correct’ any imbalances.

“Your body is an amazing health machine that can heal itself of disease if you give it the proper nutrition.”

Glyconutrients should be taken in conjunction with a GOOD multi-vitamin. They are not a replacement for a healthy diet and multi-vitamin supplementation. The addition of Glycontrients to your diet will enhance the efficacy of your wellness regime (proper nutrition and vitamin supplementation).

What do Doctors Say about Glyconutrients?
“The biggest revolutionary change in the war against disease is represented by glyconutrients. Glyconutrients are taking their place as one of the pivotal classes of nutrients. I know this not only because of the medical studies but also by the profound effects it has had toward promoting health in my patients that had been lacking over the past 20 years”.
— Michael D. Schlachter, M.D., Board Certified Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease Clinical Instructor, University of Nevada Medical School.

Harper’s Biochemistry, a textbook used by many of the top medical schools in the U.S., was rewritten in 1996 to add an entire chapter listing the 8 necessary glyconutrients… mannose, galactose, glucose (the only glyconutrient still plentiful in our modern diets), fucose, xylose, n-acetylglucosamine, n-acetylgalactosamine, and n-acetylneuraminic acid. The co-author of Harper’s, Dr. Robert Murray, was so impressed with the company we listed for you to obtain your glyconutrients that he now is on their Board of Medical Directors.

Glyconutrients are the next generation of wellness supplementation. We have just started to understand the many benefits of them. The research reported in the last two decades has fueled a new approach towards wellness and ignited a new sense of hope with many of the world’s leading immunologists, researchers, and doctors.

David Filer has a passion for overall nutrition and wellness. His goal is to education people on what is fact vs. what is fiction. Only through true education and research, can consumers makes an educated decision about what nutritional products to consume.

UCITS - 1985 - 2004

The Single Market for Investment Funds

When the original Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS) Directive was adopted in December 1985, Jacques Delors’ idea of a “single market” had only just emerged and the “Single European Act” with the now all too familiar “1992 objectives” had yet to be endorsed. This is why, from today’s perspective, the Directive’s fairly unambitious aim to approximate conditions of competition and to ensure more effective and more uniform investor protection was easily attained. Also, when the discussion on a modernisation of the Directive started in late 1991, nobody considered achieving a single market for investment funds - the intention simply being to modernise the Directive and to include as yet nonharmonised products. Only when the Commission published its “Strategic Programme” in 1993 did the discussion on a single market for financial services really get off the ground. A further significant step forward came in 1999, when the modification of the UCITS Directive became part of the Financial Services Action Plan. This in turn “forced” the Council to advance its discussions over UCITS, which had been locked in stalemate for several years because of very different opinions on issues such as the use of derivatives, funds of funds, index funds or the passport for the depositary. Nevertheless, the basic elements of the Directive are today as undisputed and modern as they were some 20 years ago:

• Comprehensive information for investors;

• Effective supervision of the fund and its manager;

• Meaningful diversification in tradable and liquid instruments;

• Separation of management and segregation of assets

These principles have made UCITS as we know them, that is an efficient savings instrument combined with a high level of investor protection. The new Directive has left these principles untouched and has even gone so far as to reinforce them. While broadening investment opportunities, for example through a wider use of derivatives, the new Directive strengthened risk-spreading rules and improved investor protection with the introduction of a simplified prospectus. While allowing new activities such as discretionary asset management, regulation of the management company too was strengthened, for example through capital requirements and rules on delegation. Despite all this, ten months after its final application date the Directive does not yet really work. A number of transitional issues are only now being solved by the Committee of European Securities Regulators (CESR) (to wit the recently closed public consultation by CESR), the two Commission Recommendations on the use of derivatives and on some contents of the simplified prospectus have yet to be implemented in many countries. Also, a number of definition problems, in particular with respect to eligible investment instruments for UCITS, are only now starting to be considered by CESR and a public consultation as well as a public hearing are planned for April/May 2005.

The final “Level 2″ regulation will surely not be on the table before late 2005. Other issues are bound to come up once the new Directive is really working. Even when this happens, the single retail market for investment funds will not have been achieved. This is made clear in the recent report of the Commission’s Experts Group on asset management. CESR’s working programme on investment management already draws some conclusions. While other markets, such as insurance and banking, seem to be undergoing further development, the Commission and CESR both agree that future regulation is needed to achieve the final goal of a single market for investment funds. What such legislation might look like will be the key discussion point between legislators, regulators and the industry in the years to come. The main obstacles to the single market for investment funds have been more or less identified

• Cross-border registration of passported funds is still far too complicated, time consuming and expensive;

• Merging funds or pooling funds’ assets across borders is nearly impossible because of regulatory and tax barriers;

• The passport for the management company is not what it should be: managing funds across borders is impossible;

• A significant number of funds (such as real estate funds) are not covered by the Directive;

• As the Directive is not a Lamfalussy-style directive, any modification and/or modernisation requires a new directive, which we all know is burdensome and very time consuming.

Competition Challenges

Another problem is that the current Directive is mainly a so-called “product directive” - unlike the more modern Investment Services Directive/Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (ISD/MiFiD) and other financial services directives. UCITS are increasingly competing with new products, such as structured notes, which though less regulated and less transparent are nonetheless, in the case of retail investors, difficult to distinguish from the highly regulated investment funds. Retail investors are increasingly keen on these absolute return products. Should it prove impossible to provide them with similar products under the UCITS Directive because of a restrictive interpretation of allowed investments - for example, What are transferable securities? What about investment in structured notes or in listed closed ended funds? - they will, in fact, be the losers.

They will be driven towards products which might look cheaper, but which in reality provide a lower level of investor protection. The discussion on how to achieve a balanced regulation for UCITS in this respect will be one of the core issues on the regulatory agenda in the months ahead. However, a really convincing and consistent solution to the problem will probably not be achievable under the current Directive simply by “including” new products. The shape of the current Directive needs to be reconsidered. Nobody today will argue that investor protection can also be achieved through other means such as a certain level of distribution regulation, as currently being undertaken through Level 2 regulation within the MiFiD. These are all points which the Commission will have to take into account when drafting its Green Paper on UCITS, the answer on the review clause included in the UCITS Directive, planned for mid-2005.

Democrats and Republicans (For The Most Part) Want The “Nanny State”

Its remarkable when the liberal infestation in our government makes itself so clear that no one can deny it. Sure the infestation is so pronounced on the Democratic side of the isle that it is hard to ignore but we also have to stand up and take note when the Republicans (often mislabeled “conservatives”) also show how liberal they really are too for the most part. They might not be as far down the dark path to socialism and unconstitutional government as the Democratic Party, but they are not that far behind.

This past week former FEMA chief Michael D. Brown was in the hot seat on Capital Hill taking it from all sides over Katrina. You have so-called Senators like Norm Coleman (R) Minnesota saying of Mr. Brown

“You’re not prepared to put a mirror in front of your face and recognize your own inadequacies”

and

“Perhaps you may get a more sympathetic hearing if you had a willingness to confess your own sins in this.”

Excuse me Mr. Coleman - I’d call you “Senator” but I seriously wonder if you are worthy of that title with this political kowtowing. Mr. Brown and the entire administration have claimed they could have done things differently and perhaps better. But the one issue that was never really spoken was was it their role in the first place? I’m still waiting, to this day, despite asking many times, to have someone, anyone point out to me where in Article I of the United States Constitution the federal government is supposed to even have an agency like FEMA!

I can however find CLEARLY in the Constitution a section that says “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” It’s Amendment X in case you can’t find it yourself.

So, the Federal Government is not supposed to be a source of “disaster relief” because it isn’t a “power” delegated to it. That means that it is the state and local governments, along with the people that are to handle this.

Mr. Brown gave it good to the so-called representatives. In response to Mr. Coleman he stood up and said

“That’s very easy for you to say sitting behind that dais and not being there in the middle of that disaster watching that human suffering and watching those people dying and trying to deal with those structural dysfunctionalities, even within the federal government.”

It’s true. And it is symptomatic of most of the problems with Washington and the federal government. They sit in Washington and tell people what is and is not good for them and then they scold anyone that they think hasn’t done what they think is good for them.

Brown also came under fire for lack of buses to get the people trapped in New Orleans at the Super Dome out. What? Why did they need buses? The city had a whole parking lot full of them! The pictures don’t lie.

What is troubling in all this is the focus being put on the federal government as the nanny state and not years by local and state officials who ignored the problems they were well aware of. Those problems were that if a big enough hurricane hit New Orleans the city would be flooded and people would get hurt. Those problems were that these same local officials knew well in advance that there was a massive storm coming. Those problems were that these officials sat on their hands and let busses sit idle while their constituents were in danger. Those problems were that everyone kept waiting for the federal government to do something - any thing. Those problems are that to this day people still do not recognize the proper role of the federal, state and local governments and are still looking to the federal government to “do something”, create a bigger government bureaucracy and give so-called Senators something to rant about.

All while Mayor Ray Nagin and Governor Blanco sit around with flooded busses that they themselves failed to use and will probably be re-elected when the time comes. We must recognize the problem, which is that there are a great many people in this great nation that don’t want to accept their own roles in this Republic. And until we do this nation will continue to slide ever to the left politically as more and more people look to the federal government to “save them” from their own failure to act with a large and lumbering bureaucracy that cannot possibly do so.

Goal Setting - The Importance of Stern Resolve!

“Every man should be born again on the first day of January. Start with a fresh page…on the first of January let every may straighten himself once more, with his face to the front, and take no interest in the things that were and are past.”

- Henry Ward

How often do you see people who have succumbed to their current, sometimes ill-perceived, circumstances?

In extreme cases perhaps these people drink too much or take some other “home remedy” to self-medicate their feelings of inadequacy and/or hopelessness.

On a more conservative level, they may simply complain about being treated unfairly and/or feel deserving of something they think they’ve either earned or are entitled to.

When setting goals for future success, it’s imperative that you begin the process with a clear healthy mindset. One that empowers you with the realization that you, and you alone, possess the ultimate tool to improve your situation - Freedom of Choice is this tool.

No doubt you’ve heard others speak about the power of choice. The fact remains that in virtually all scenarios, each of us has the personal freedom to choose how we will respond to any given situation.

Those who choose NOT to choose will remain a self-imposed victim of his or her unique circumstances. Those who DO take control of, and responsibility for, their own situations have the ability to effectively prepare, respond, and take actions necessary to improve their lives.

So as we step into each New Year, new month, new week or new day, “STEP OUT”!

Take ownership of the challenges in front of you - and make some winning choices (which may not be easy choices, but will be the right winning choices) that will benefit you for the rest of your life.

Remember these important words by Leonardo da Vinci as you consider the obstacles in front of you. Make your New Year’s resolutions and conduct your goal setting with this in mind:

“Every obstacle yields to stern resolve.”

- Leonardo da Vinci

GOAL SETTING QUICK START

Goal setting doesn’t have to be a long drawn out process. While you should certainly take enough time to be thoughtful in your planning, the process itself is fairly simple.

Consider using the following “Quick Start” goal-setting process to start the year off with a clear vision of what is important to you and how you intend to achieve your New Year’s resolutions.

Reflect On the Prior Year

Note your achievements of the past year - list all of the good things that happened in the last 12 months. List names of new friends and people who have come into your life. Be as detailed as possible, listing the simple to the significant.

List the things that you are grateful for including Health, Friends, Family, Employment, Financial, Emotional, Spiritual, etc.

Note: If you have a job and live in a safe, warm place - you can be grateful that you have it better than a whole lot of other folks in this world. It’s a fact: Gratitude Improves Your Attitude.

Note your disappointments of the past year - list all the things that you did not like about the prior year. What caused you stress and unhappiness? Did you make choices that you wish you would have made differently? Did you associate with less than desirable people that limited your ability to achieve? Make the list as long as necessary - get it all on paper.

At the top of your list, write in big bold letters “Things I am resolved to never experience again!”

Create Your New Resolutions!

Determine what you want - not simply what you feel you need to do, but ask yourself specifically “What do I want?”. Ask this question under each of the following “Life Categories”: Health & Fitness, Family, Friends, Career, Financial, Emotional and Spiritual.

Why do you want it? - Get clear in your own mind why you want these things. Are these goals things that will serve you well? Will these goals help you to achieve a more fulfilling life?

If not, start over and get more clearly about what you really want for yourself and what your motivation or purpose is for wanting these things. You must understand why you want to achieve these goals, because the “purpose, is your ultimate motivation” to achieve your goal.

Every time you feel unmotivated, you will refer back to these statements and realize exactly why it is that you need to take another step toward achieving your goal. This really works if you apply it.

Create your M.A.P. - Master Action Plan!

Get specific! Write down the necessary action steps that you are committed to taking to achieve each goal. Ensure that you include at least 2 action steps that you can do “right now” that will get you on your way. Doing something now, or within the next 24 hours, will create instant momentum for you and you will be well on your way to achieving your goals.

Consider investing in a life management system such as FranklinCovey or Tony Robbin’s - Time of Your Life system. Tools like these are extremely helpful in teaching you more about yourself and how to effective set goals and maximize your time.

In addition, you’ll receive some wonderful tools (planner) that will assist you in connecting your everyday activities to your New Year’s resolutions and life-long goals.

Sound good? Then do yourself a favor and print this article and schedule some time (now would be good) to completing the quick start process.

Avoid the “Someday Syndrome”. Tomorrow never comes, and the road to someday always leads to nowhere.

Oh yes, almost forgot - remember that long list of disappointments you developed? Those things you said you are resolved to never experience again?

Make a point of destroying that list and celebrate your new goals and resolutions. (That “ugly” list isn’t anything that one little match can’t make quick work of.)

“Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.”

- Thomas Edison

Keys To Working Out Your Abs

Who doesn’t admire someone with ripped six pack abs? Somewhere along the way our culture got obsessed with the abdominal muscles and a huge trend toward abdominal workouts started. If you want to tone up your stomach there are some important things you should know about working out your abs. Make sure your workout focuses on all the areas of your abdominal muscles: upper, lower and the side or oblique muscles. You need to aim your workout toward your entire stomach to get the results you want. Also, switch up your workout. If you keep doing the same old crunches the same way, your body gets used to it and you don’t improve your muscles.
Even more important than working out your abs is to get your other diet and exercise regimens in place. To get washboard abs that will draw stares from others when you go to the beach, you have to lose body fat. That means that you eat less calories than you burn. There are some great technologies to help you keep track of the calories you take in and the calories you burn. I have had good success working with a personal trainer at the gym to design a customized plan just for me.

How To Start A Computer Support Business

Starting a computer support business is something that with some experience and training almost anyone can do. As a person owning an independent computer support business as well as a website to help others that support home users I thought it would be nice to point out the steps needed to start a business helping home computer users as well as some of the skills needed to get started.

There are four steps to getting the business started.

Business license
Every area is different but the legal aspect is always important and lends credibility to your business. Get your business license and also get insurance in case something goes terribly wrong, like lost business data that gets pinned on you.

Business cards
Of course you need some kind of a calling card. I know a small businessman who years back worked out that his business increased $1 per month for every business card he gave out. Go to Staples or Office depot as they have low prices for 500 or 1000 cards with some customization.

Flyers
The bulk of your business will come from flyers that you post up in various places. Put up flyers wherever possible. I have gone to supermarkets, bulletin boards at large businesses as well as small and Real Estate and mortgage offices. Your best success will come in offices where a lot of independent people work with their main computer being at home not supported at their work.

Computer software
There is no way around this. Over time you will find great software for diagnosing problems as well as for fixing problems. Two of my favorite CDs for support are the Ultimate Boot Disk as well as the Windows Ultimate Boot Disk. Both of these are free CDs to download and include a great many pieces of freeware that will help you out. These two Cds are self booting which is nice but you may also create a disk over time that has software you can run right out of Windows.

Website
A website is critical. You do not need something really slick but you do need a site for marketing as well as so that people can contact you or direct others to contact you. The basic info on the site should be your email, phone number, services you offer and maybe a menu of services that you offer. You will find that you do not have to prove how much better you are than everyone else because word of mouth can move very quickly.

There are also some skills that are very important to have to get your business started:

Strong windows skills
This can not be overstated. The person that has a strong knowledge of how the various parts of Windows work is the one that can diagnose and fix the problem fastest. Although you want to have a lot of billable hours you want to be sure that you are not fiddling around looking for a fix as your clients will lose confidence in your ability and you will feel bad about taking so long to fix a problem. Keep up with great message boards like the ones at www.neowin.net, as well as others that have a lot of fixes. Also it is important to know the Windows boot process and how the local group policy works. I hate to say it but I have learned more from supporting my mom’s computer over the years for free than I have learned from my own machines because she is not nearly as careful as I am in operating a computer. Remember that most users are not going to have any idea how their computer broke so your own probing questions are often better than just diving straight in and troubleshooting. Lastly know what each of the processes does on a running PC and have a good feel for what to make of errors in the error logs of the machine, these are always invaluable. You can get diagnosis of errors from the logs at www.eventid.net .

Virus knowledge
Keep up with the latest viruses and how they are affecting computers. A very small number of viruses account for a great percentage of the infections out there and once you isolate how a virus has wreaked havoc the faster you can get rid of it and get the machine up and running properly again. I use www.sarc.com as well as the Internet Storm Center for this kind of information. When you get a customer set up with anti virus pick a favorite like Norton or McAfee instead of a free virus scanner so that the user does not have you to blame if they get reinfected by viruses. Use good quality control by setting up a realistic upgrade and weekly scan schedule based on the user’s computer habits.

Spyware knowledge
This is a really tough one. I keep up with spyware just by searching on the net and trying to find the resources that people are using to get rid of spyware. Also as you use products, especially free ones for fixing PCs like adaware or Spybot you will get a good chance to see what people are getting infected with regularly. I used to see Bonzi buddy a lot but now it is more aggressive spyware that forces you to fix in safe mode as you lose your regedit. Whenever you are getting a customer up and running though it is a best practice to have them use Spyware Nuker or one of the other pay products instead as then you do not have to worry about being the only point of failure if a computer gets reinfected.

Registry knowledge
No one expects you to know the registry inside and out but be sure that you are very proficient with the current user and local machine hives of the registry as that is the most customizable portion of the registry. Also take note of keys that are being affected by various spyware and viruses. Quite often I will find unasked for extras in the filesystem that stop me from using the regedit command but I have had luck using regedt32 or going into the registry from safe mode. Again the better you know the registry the better off you will be when fixing problems.

Hardware knowledge
I have an A+ certification from years back and I am sure that this gave me a great grounding as hardware has changed over the years. You have to be able to at minimum be able to build a PC from scratch as this will give you knowledge of each component of the computer, teach you about BIOS upgrades and drivers and where to find them. There are so many sites on the internet which specialize in each component of a PC that Google will be your best bet for finding information. Another great resource is Maximum PC as they always have up to the minute news on cutting edge hardware as well as software. A couple of good sites that I frequent are www.tomshardware.com and www.lockergnome.com

Staying up to date with the latest news
This one should go without saying. One of the best ways to start a day in my eyes is to use my Maxthon browser add-on (I know I should have converted to Firefox already but no I haven’t!) and open up www.neowin.net www.activewin.com www.pcmag.com www.wired.com www.cnet.com www.incidents.org www.internettrafficreport.com

Marketing
One thing that I have only touched on so far is marketing. After you have the skills down the most important thing you can do is market your business. There are a few things besides flyers. You can do sneaky things like leave a couple of cards at the local bookstore in the computer section, send support type articles to the local newspaper and hope to get them published, and finally strike up computer conversations in the line at the local grocery store. In the more mainstream marketing methods you should join the local chamber of commerce, volunteer to do computer work with local charities, put ads in any local newspapers especially the free ones, and be sure to get together with other people in the industry

Benefits of a Latex Mattress

The latex mattress is soon to be the newest sleep system “craze” in North America, and it’s very popular right now in Europe. All the big names such as Sealy, Serta, Royal Pedic and Simmons all have come out with their own line of latex mattresses. Basically, the latex mattress is a mattress made from the sap of an actual rubber tree. There are two methods used to make them, thus producing the Dunlop latex mattress and the Talalay latex mattress. The Dunlop method whips the rubber in its liquid form and incorporates air into the mixture, and then it is put into a mold. The Talalay method also whips the rubber into a mold, but in addition, it will use core pins to cure the rubber, along with a vacuum system, thus producing a superior quality foam mattress with a more consistent cell structure. Of course, the more expensive of the two will be the Talalay latex, although both offer superior comfort and durability.

If you’re asking yourself why you would spend that kind of money on a mattress, there are many benifits. Whether it be a Dunlop latex or a Talalay latex, either way, a latex mattress outlasts conventional spring mattresses, and can last up to thirty years, and usually have warranties ranging in and around the twenty year mark, which is quite impressive. Other than that,, they possess great anti microbial properties, are virtually dustmite resistant and ventilation properties, which can do wonders for you if you suffer from asthma or any type of allergies. Organic latex mattresses are also available to even better these advantages. Convenience also plays an important part, and a latex mattress has no need to be flipped, ever.

With a latex mattress, you have the opportunity to experience a superior level of comfort that just cannot be reached with a conventianal inner spring mattress. A latex mattress comes in a variety of foam densities, generally the higher the density of the foam, the higher the quality. The latex foam mattress has the ability to conform to your bodies’ many curves, allowing the weight of your body to be evenly distributed, thus eliminating the existance of pressure points while you sleep soundly. Yes, they are more expensive, but one third of the average persons’ life is spent sleeping, so it may be worth the extra expense for those who appreciate a quality nights sleep. After all, the bonus of a good sleep just might be that you will wake up feeling completely refreshed and ready to take on the day. In the end, whether a Dunlop latex or a Talalay Latex type, a latex mattress is at the very least, well worth considering.

Mobile Auto Detailing and Truck Washing Combination Businesses

If you own a mobile car wash or auto detailing business then perhaps you have considered what to do in the Winter Time where you live when it is downpouring rain or totally covered in snow. It is rather hard to detail cars in the snow and no one wants a car wash if God is doing it for free or if you are just going to spray snow off the car and turn it to ice. After all the last thing a property management company wants to see is a portable ice maker in their parking lot and people slip sliding away to the local slip and fall lawyer with paper work in hand for the courthouse the next day, that is for sure.

Recently a gentleman told me; I know a few dozen Landscape companies that have trucks, equipment and for a small fee, they are out on the road with clean trucks and making a good impression. I also know of two general contractors that have their trucks detailed at least once a year if not more. I can see the slow time would be the winter, but we do have a large garage that we can work out of if there are clients that need these services in the winter months.

Yes, these types of small businesses have lots of vehicles they make Excellent customers too. Fleet truck washing can definitely help an auto detailing or car washing business get thru the Winter Months and stay business and this makes a lot of sense. Contractors and Landscape business all need to keep their trucks clean, good points all of them. Well then, perhaps you should consider this in 2006?
