ATT TV in Houston

We have had ATT TV service put in for one week so far. An similar bundle through any cable provider would be almost double what I am paying AT-T’s TV service. I greatly respect U-Verse extending a realistic complete package that keeps from nailing customers with a bunch of unncecessary charges. 3 receivers (1 with DVR capabilities) are included in the price. HD accepted for free for one year - only $10 per year after the deal ends… not bad since U-Verse offers at least twice the number of HD channels which Comcast provides in Indianapolis.

Channel shifting is relatively instant. Almost as fast as our old cable. On Demand (Pay-per-view) content is decent but not as close as the selection provided by other providers. I had a party the evening after set up - they wanted to watch UFC, but at&t tv lineup wasn’t carrying it. When I called, the I spoke with had accepted many similar calls.

Equipment generally works as publicized. Right now, there are only 4 TV streams ready in Cali. I have only run out of streams one time - even after interchanging all 42 of my shows tapings from my cable box! (You can access some of your DVR’s settings from your personal U-Verse AT&T website - sweet plus). I do not have high def, thus no need.

Watching an HD channel takes up 2 streams - the remaining flows can only be used for standard definition stations. It seems, a increase of the quantity of TV streams happening for the end of the summer. Also, AT&T will be adding the capability to view DVR shows from any unit.
