O2 Technical Support Service Launched
O2 has launched a technical support service for its broadband customers. Many users still find themselves clueless when dealing with mice, broadband, modems etc., which is why this service seems like a good venture as it will definitely find a lot of takers.
Jonathan Earle, head of Pay Monthly at O2, elaborating on the purpose of the launch said that there were customers who wanted a place that could fulfil all their requirement from buying new products to providing support for fixing glitches in their computers. O2 technical support is meant to achieve this very objective.
O2 Tech Support will provide help for all the technical problems that might occur ranging from hard drive formatting to protecting against viruses and from sending e-mails to setting up software. But the services provided are not going to be free. If technical support is not what you’re after, but just more info on mobile broadband, then best refer to a dedicated mobile broadband website, which can be a one stop for free advice, info, news and of course laptop deals.
A minimum 3 month of subscription could cost anything upwards of £7.34 per month. Another way of paying is on a pay-per-use terms whereby customers will pay every time they use the O2 Tech Support service. The price starts from £14.69. But with pay-per-use, customers are not charged unless their problems are fixed as promised by the organization under the motto ‘No Fix-No Fee’.
As good an idea as O2 Tech Support is, it is prone to manipulation. Customers can only hope that they are not ripped off by their service provider, which can direct their calls meant for standard customer service problems, to O2 Tech Support thereby making them liable for payment.
