Plans include construction of about 100,000 metres of office rental space in addition to leisure hubs, restaurants, shops, bars, and a five star hotel here. If constructed, the Westgate Park will be a completely self sufficient business hub, worthy of international businesses. A regional transport hub would complete the project and bring access to those employed within the centre. The entire construction would take up about 100 acres of space, which is at present woodland and agricultural land. The plans have already been cleared by Cardiff council.
